Tradition

Classic beautiful desks are designed in all kinds of shapes and sizes and using all kinds of incredible exotic veneers, cut with intricate patterns.

These go from beautiful kidney shape desks, to break front designs, to stunning writing tables with hand carved legs.

They are usually made with a leather insert for writing on, which has solid gold leaf tooling etched into the top of the piece to highlight the opulence of the furniture.

Such beautiful pieces are offset with bureaux, sometimes with glazed bookcases on top, leather office chairs, like classic captain's chairs or Chesterfields, and other small bookcases for your workbooks or study materials.

These can all be built using completely traditional methods and materials, or can be produced utilizing modern fittings, such as soft closing drawers, appropriate lighting and special modern runners for file drawers.

Modern

Modern furniture for your study is also great fun to build.

It can include special lighting features, making it supremely easy to read, with touch sensitive fittings to turn your lights on and off. We can create light boxes for you to work on, for designing and tracing, on toughed glass panels with metal fittings to hold them in place, or create beautiful modern bureaux with touch sensitive, soft closing drawers.

We can use interesting modern veneers and solid woods to create an up to date contemporary look, making your furniture an experience as well as a practical, useful space for your thoughts and learning.
